As we need to change for the betterment of our countrymen, majority continue to wallow in grave poverty, we need to change the way we conduct our governance which can only be achieved through non-violent action. Change Politics Movement is one of the efforts that have resulted from the need to change our politics. This is the concept that CPM is pushing now in preparation for the upcoming election in May 2010.
According to Pete Rahon's blog Live Life! Love Life!, CPM has succeded in establishing core members from 38 provinces and cities like Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Butuan, Ormoc, Borongan, Mandaue, Dumaguete, Iloilo, Naga and Quezon City in the country. Pete Rahon also quoted Dinky Soliman, one of the interim national convenors of CPM, as saying: “We need to take back politics from corrupt politicians and make it the sacred covenant it is meant to be, between leaders and their constituencies."
I am always for the change in our politics that has been dominated by traditional politicians. I am always for the change in attitude of our voters especially the way they choose leaders which should be based on performance and vision for the people. Goodluck to the leaders behind CPM!
